EMPOWERMENT
MICROGRANT PROGRAM
EMPOWERING QUEER AND TRANS CREATIVES
QLN’s Empowerment Microgrant Program offers direct aid-style financial support to queer and trans creatives facing economic obstacles and hardship. Through our Queer Creatives Fund, individuals can apply for funding to support their creative passion of choice — photography supplies, the costs of a first zine run, self-publishing expenses, art supplies, & more.
Our work changes lives. By easing financial burdens for queer & trans creatives, we help our community move toward greater security, independence, and empowerment. When queer and trans people achieve financial liberation — whether that's affording rent, fueling creative passions, or making a name as an artist — our community can thrive.

Queer Creatives Fund
Our Queer Creatives Fund offers direct financial support to fuel queer & trans folks in their creative passions. During quarterly microgrant periods, queer and trans creatives can apply for funding to support their work.
We’re not the experts here — creatives are. For that reason, we’re removing the guardrails. We encourage you to convince us why your creative project, passion, or supply needs should be funded, and how your microgrant will be used to put more queer art into the community.
Some examples of things we’re open to funding:
Art supplies
Community art workshops
Photography equipment
Graphic design software
A first printing run of zines
Art or recording studio rent/costs
Large projects such as sculptures, gallery shows, art exhibits, community murals
This Fund is here to have the backs of queer and trans creatives. You shouldn’t have to choose between paying rent or creating art, and while this won’t solve all the obstacles you face, we hope it will let you breathe a little easier.
Our only restrictions for applicants: No AI, no zionists, and no hate. Not all applications will be approved due to limited funding, but anyone known to break these golden rules will be rejected outright.
First Funding Round:
Applications Open: December 1-31, 2026
Decisions: January 5, 2027
Funds Distributed: January 10, 2027
Final Reports Due: March 30, 2027
