A QUEER MAKERS MARKET
DOROTHY’S DEPOT
QUEER ART IS QUEER LIBERATION
Dorothy’s Depot is our queer makers market, occurring 4-6 times each year at The WOO in San Diego, CA. The SoCal community comes out in droves to support queer creatives, makers, and vendors, buying art and wares from 65-80 vendors at any given market. We partner with local bookstores, coffee pop ups, bakers, and food vendors to round out the event and ensure our artists and community are guaranteed a great event with rad local art.
We charge a $50 nonrefundable vendor fee to artists, which can be waived upon request if cost is a barrier, and these markets are generally not profitable to QLN. We throw Dorothy’s Depot markets to celebrate queer and trans artists and show up for our community, with vendor fees going to the venue rental costs. In the case that we make more than the venue rental costs, any excess revenue goes directly back into our work to support queer artists and further our mission to support queers in need.
If you’re an artist, keep an eye out on our socials & events page to apply for one of our upcoming markets!
