...until her family and friends stage an ambush and ship her off to a pastel-drenched conversion camp, where she meets a group of queer teens who are hotter, funnier, and the most chaotically appealing flavor of emotionally unavailable. But she's just a cheerleader — so this camp won't change anything. Right?

BUT I’M A CHEERLEADER (1999) is a campy queer cult classic that playfully torches compulsory heterosexuality, offers a dose of found family, and brings humor and light to a topic that has traumatized and shaped so many queer lives. 💅
